The Precure All Stars New Stage 2: Kokoro no Tomodachi film opened at #3. The film is the fifth to unite all the main characters from the Precure magical girl franchise. The story begins when all the magical girls receive an invitation to the fairies' school for a Precure party. The film earned 200,084,961 yen (US$2,118,639) on 174 screens.
The Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki (A Certain Magical Index: The Miracle of Endymion) film fell from #7 to #12 on Box Office Mojo's chart during its fourth weekend. The movie's all-new story features main characters Touma Kamijo and Index encountering a level 0 girl named Arisa just before the completion of the Academy City space elevator "Endymion." The Magicians are after Arisa, and they attack Academy City. A female leader named Shattoaura leads a unit from Academy City against the attack. Touma and Index learn from Stiyl that Arisa is key to a brewing war between the sides of Magic and Science. The film earned 23,923,120 yen (US$253,314) on 37 screens for a new total of 362,462,109 yen (US$3,838,002).
The Sū-chan Mai-chan Sawako-san (Sue, Mai and Sawa: Righting the Girl Ship) live-action film adaptation of Miri Masuda's Sū-chan manga fell from Box Office Mojo's chart during its third weekend.
