Viz Media previewed the first three chapters in English of Amalgam of Distortion as part of its Jump Start initiative. The company describes the manga:Rokumichi's life as a typical high school student gets turned upside down when he becomes caught up in a bizarre experiment. The biggest problem in his life was his inability to summon the courage to ask out his childhood friend. Then, just when things seem to be going well, Rokumichi is hit by a train and wakes up in a secret lab. If that wasn't bad enough, a maniacal scientist tells him he's been injected with demonic cells. Half of Rokumichi's body has been replaced by bone, but what exactly has he become...?
Ishiyama was an honorable mention for the 53rd Jump Treasure Newcomer Manga Award in 2011, and serialized the manga Mitsukubi Condor in Shonen Jump in 2014.
Okamoto launched Demon's Plan in Weekly Shonen Jump on November 21. Viz Media also previewed the first three chapters of the manga in English, and describes the series:If you had a chance to be chosen and blessed with a wish, what would you ask for? Bolo and Carlos are two poor street kids with dreams of making it big! And they've got their eyes on their ticket out of the slums... the Demon's Plan!
Okamoto previously published a "Brain Breaker" one-shot as part of the 9th "Gold Future Cup" contest in the magazine in 2014.
