Sengoku Basara Franchise Has New TV Anime Project in the Works

CAPCOM announced at the Sengoku Basara 4 Basara Matsuri 2014 ~Shinshun no Utage~ (Sengoku Basara 4 Basara Festival 2014 ~Party of the New Year~) that a new television anime project for its Sengoku Basara franchise is in the works. More details about the project will be unveiled at a later time.

In addition, CAPCOM also announced that a “Devil May Cry Dante Version” costume for Date Masamune will be available to download from the PlayStation Network for 300 yen (about US$3) on the day of the Sengoku Basara 4 PlayStation 3 game's launch on January 23. (Historical Japanese names are listed family name first.)

A first television anime adapting the Sengoku Basara game siers aired in Japan in 2009, with a sequel airing in 2010. A feature film soon followed. Funimation has released both Sengoku Basara television series in North America, as well as the film.
